Ron Alban, CPA, MBA

Ron Alban, CPA -- has been a licensed CPA in the state of Alaska since 1985.  I came to Alaska in 1982 from the Northwest after graduating from the University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma Washington, with an MBA with accounting emphasis.  I worked for Touche Ross as it was called then, for about two years before becoming a controller for several privately held Alaska businesses for about several years.  In 1988 I formed a public accounting firm with several others until June 2001 when I formed my own firm.

My business philosophy is to provide high quality and practical solutions to businesses, not for profit organizations  and their owners and constituents.  Whether it is choosing the proper entity for tax purposes, auditing a not for profit or buying or selling a business, we have the depth of experience to serve customers well.

We have audited between 15 to 18 businesses, employee benefit plans and not for profit organizations per year and provided review, compilation, tax and other services to many other businesses and organizations.

For approximately five years from 1995 through 2000, I served on the board of directors of Anchorage Community Mental Health Services, Inc. on several standing subcommittees and also on several ad hoc committees for special projects.

Presently, I also serve as the Treasurer for the Associated Builders and Contractors - Alaska Chapter and am involved in many of their activities and initiatives.

Beverly Holoday-English, CPA, CMA

Beverly Holaday-English, CPA, CMA joined this firm in October, 2001 to assist in the overall financial statement and tax services of the firm and to add depth and experience.  Prior to joining Alban and Company, CPA's, Beverly worked for my previous firm, one of our contractor clients, other CPA firms and a large engineering/construction firm involved in the Bradley Lake Hydro Electric Project, built in the late 1980's.   She comes with high standards of accounting experience and education.

Beverly has also earned her CMA certificate, which requires a large understanding of managerial accounting skills and principles and passing a very rigourus test which some consider more difficult than the CPA exam.

She is also active in the local chapter of the Institue of Management Accounts (IMA).
